Demi Lovato Has Announced That Her ‘Holy Fvck’ Tour Will Be Her Last: ‘I Can’t Do It Any Longer’
Demi Lovato announced on Instagram Stories on Tuesday (September 13) that their current tour in support of their album Holy Fvck will be their final.
“I’m so f—ing sick I can’t get out of bed,” Lovato captioned a series of window photos. “I can’t do it any longer.” This will be my final tour. I adore and thank you.”
Lovato did not elaborate on her illness, but she did delete her Instagram Stories. Billboard has reached out to her representatives for additional information.
The “29” singer responded to their posts with another set of Stories that read, “Gonna power thru it for you guys [sick emoji]” [emoji of a black heart] I’ll need some help singing, so please sing loudly for me, bb’s!!”
Holy Fvck features collaborations with Royal & the Serpent, YUNGBLUD, and Dead Sara, as well as Warren “Oak” Felder, Michael Pollack, and Lovato herself. Holy Fvck, like the album’s singles, is a departure from the pop gloss of her Tell Me You Love Me days.
Demi explained to Zane Lowe of Apple Music 1: “One influence that really changed where I wanted to go directionally in music was Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Since You’ve Been Gone.’ It was a massive hit. And I witnessed her evolution as an artist from R&B soul pop to pop rock. “Wait, that’s what I want to do,” I thought.
