BTS Announces Busan Concert Date And Location
The details of BTS’s spectacular coming-out party in Busan this October have finally been revealed.
According to a statement shared on the fandom platform Weverse, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will perform on October 15 at the Busan Ilgwang special stage in Gijang-gun, Busan.
The free concert in Busan, held under the banner of BTS YET TO COME>, will be the first by the K-pop stars since the June announcement that its seven members would step away from active band duties to pursue solo projects.
According to the pop group’s representatives, the in-person show will draw more than 100,000 people, and the “live play” broadcast will reach another 10,000 people in the parking lot of Busan Port International Passenger Terminal.
The concert will also be livestreamed beginning at 6 p.m. on Weverse, ZEPETO, and NAVER NOW, with more information on the event to be announced later.

“We hope that ARMY from all over the world will send a lot of support to BTS’s special performance to promote Busan’s bid for World Expo 2030,” BigHit Music said in a statement.
BTS’s concert is part of a campaign to make Busan Metropolitan City the host city for the 2030 World Expo.
BTS is an ambassador for World Expo 2030 Busan, Korea, and recently stated, “We will make extra efforts not only to support the bid, but also to promote the beautiful nature and culture of the Republic of Korea globally.”
The concert should be a colourful publicity exercise for Busan, South Korea’s second most populous city after Seoul, and, perhaps, a win-win situation for everyone involved.
According to the Yonhap News Agency, Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon has proposed allowing the group’s seven members to swap out their mandatory military duties for another — serving as public relations ambassadors for his city’s bid to host the universal exhibition.
The theme of Busan’s bid for the event is “Transforming Our World, Navigating Toward a Better Future,” and if successful, the city will host the world fair from May 1 to October 31, 2030.
