Chrissy Teigen warns Ben Shapiro That He Will Not Enjoy John Legend’s “Splash.”
Many people are enjoying John Legend’s new album Legend, particularly the early standout “Splash,” which features Jhené Aiko and Ty Dolla $ign. Chrissy Teigen, on the other hand, knows one person who will most likely object to her husband’s steamy new song.
Teigen responded to a fan who commented on the song in a tweet on Friday (Sept. 9) by posting a GIF of a woman grinding on the subway with the caption “Splash from @johnlegend @JheneAiko and @tydollasign will have you like…” Teigen agreed with the fan, saying, “It’s very dirty and not for kids!” “Ben Shapiro is going to request more WAP doctors!”
Anyone who has heard the song can attest that, yes, “Splash” leaves very little to the imagination, as Legend, Aiko, and Ty use religious imagery to describe an especially eventful love-making session. On the woozy, grooving chorus, John sings, “Purify me, want to be baptized/ Taste those thighs, make ’em touch the sky.”

In the second part of her tweet, Teigen referred to comments made by conservative commentator Ben Shapiro after the release of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” in 2020, in which the commentator railed against the song’s sexually explicit lyrics before claiming that his “doctor wife” had prescribed a series of medical issues to any woman claiming to have a WAP, as the song described it. “My only real concern is that the women involved — who apparently need a ‘bucket and a mop’ — get the medical attention they require,” he wrote at the time.
