Chrissy Teigen’s Pregnancy Has John Legend Feeling ‘Cautiously Optimistic’
In an interview with Good Morning Britain on Friday, John Legend said he’s “cautiously optimistic” about the new baby he’s expecting with wife Chrissy Teigen (Sept. 23).
In September 2020, the couple announced the death of their third child, Jack, at the age of 20 weeks. Teigen revealed in the post that she had to be hospitalised after a month of excessive bleeding. Teigen stated two years later that she had to have a life-saving abortion while carrying Jack because he would not survive.
Teigen announced her pregnancy on Instagram in August, showing off her new baby bump.
“1 billion shots later (in the leg recently, as you can see!) we have another on the way,” Teigen captioned her photo. “At every appointment, I tell myself, ‘OK, if it’s healthy today, I’ll announce,’ but then I hear a heartbeat and decide I’m still too nervous.”
Despite Teigen’s nerves, there is reason to be optimistic. “Everything’s been great so far,” Legend says.
Legend released his eighth studio album Legend on September 9th via Republic Records, stating that the album was inspired by “vulnerability of pain, praise, and healing.”
