Fetty Wap was arrested after threatening someone on FaceTime.
The rapper’s bond has been revoked by the court, so he must remain in jail until his trial date is set. Fetty Wap, a rapper, was arrested after allegedly threatening to commit a felony with a firearm during a FaceTime call.
According to TMZ, the rapper was arrested by FBI agents in New Jersey yesterday, citing a source who claimed to have seen an arrest warrant (August 8). In December of last year, Willie Junior Maxwell II allegedly confronted his ex-girlfriend via FaceTime. He allegedly threatened the life of the man he was speaking with on this call by waving a gun in front of the camera.(Fetty Wap)
According to an affidavit, Maxwell threatened the man, who has only been identified as “John Doe” by XXL, calling him a “rat” and saying, “I’ma kill you and everybody you’re with.”
Maxwell’s situation was already precarious before he was arrested on federal drug charges last October. Between June 2019 and June 2020, he and five other men are accused of “distributing more than 100 kilograms of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, and crack cocaine across Long Island and New Jersey.” The charge stemmed from illegal drug dealing. On October 28, he was arrested in New York City and charged with conspiring to bring large quantities of the aforementioned substances into the region. Someone has accused him of doing something like this. Maxwell was charged with being a “kilos-level redistributor for a trafficking organization.” He was released from custody after posting a personal recognizance bond of $500,000 (£413,800).
According to XXL, Maxwell’s bail was revoked following his most recent arrest. According to the affidavit, his actions during the FaceTime call were in direct violation of state law and the terms of his bail agreement. Maxwell’s bail was revoked following his second arrest, according to XXL.
Maxwell was arrested after a hearing in federal court in Central Islip, Long Island, for the revocation of his bail. He will remain there until a date for his trial is set.
Maxwell was arrested twice in Newark, New Jersey—in December 2021 for unrelated charges, and again in December 2022. An ankle monitor alerted authorities at an airport to a warrant in this case. He was reportedly charged with being a public nuisance and was released from jail after posting bail. However, the details of the incident are, at best, hazy.
