‘He Brought So Much Joy To My Life,’ Says Ellen DeGeneres In A Video Montage Of Memories With Stephen ‘Twitch’ Boss.
Ellen DeGeneres paid a heartfelt tribute to Stephen “tWitch” Boss on her daytime talk show on Thursday (Dec. 15), sharing a heartbreaking montage of memories from their time together.
“Right now, all I want to do is remember all the love and laughter I shared with tWitch. He made my life so much more enjoyable. I’m sure he brought you joy as well. I’m going to tell him about some of my favourite memories. If you want, you can share yours as well,” she wrote on Instagram with the hashtag #ILovetWitch.
“Well, I don’t want to say goodbye,” DeGeneres says in the video, which she sent to Boss during the final week of her talk show in May.
The star revealed that she first met the So You Think You Can Dance fan favourite to teach her a dance for the show, and his role as her DJ evolved organically from there. “It’s just different when he’s not here for whatever reason,” she continued. “And he’s my friend, my sidekick. Because we have this link… tWitch, I adore you. And I’m sure you’re aware of how much.”
Allison Holker Boss, Boss’ wife, announced his death Wednesday morning at the age of 40.
“To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will be felt for a long time,” said tWitch’s wife in a statement. “I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honour his memory. We request privacy during this difficult time for myself and our three children. We love you, Stephen, and I will always save the last dance for you.”
