I Love You By Back Number Will Be Featured In A New NHK Morning Drama Series
Back number, a Japanese pop-rock band, has been commissioned to write the theme song for the next NHK morning drama series, Maiagare!, which premieres on October 3.
Maiagare!, the 107th title in the network’s long line of drama series broadcast in 15-minute episodes, stars Haruka Fukuhara as the heroine who aspires to be an airline pilot as she grows up in Higashiosaka — a city known for its craftsmanship — and experiences life on a nature-rich remote island off the coast of Nagasaki.
The new theme, titled “I Love You,” will be the first song by back number to be featured on the established morning drama series. “The TV drama broadcast every morning,” says frontman and songwriter Iyori Shimizu in a press release announcing the news.
