In The ‘Bumper In Berlin’ Trailer, Adam Devine Reprises His ‘Pitch Perfect’ Role.
Peacock is about to debut its Pitch Perfect spinoff series, Bumper in Berlin, on November 23, and the streaming service released the official trailer on Wednesday (Nov. 2).
Adam Devine reprises his role as Bumper Allen, the former Treblemakers leader, in the clip. After a video of his went viral on the Internet, he receives a call from Pieter from Pitch Perfect 2’s Das Sound Machine (played by Flula Borg) urging him to travel to Germany to establish his music career. Devine then reunites with Sarah Hyland, who plays his assistant on Modern Family. The series also stars Lera Abova and Jameela Jamil.

“It’s hard to believe this journey began more than 15 years ago, with the discovery of Mickey Rapkin’s book, three incredible films, and now a television series,” said Elizabeth Banks, who returns as an executive producer on the project after acting in all three Pitch Perfect films and directing Pitch Perfect 2. “We could never have predicted the journey that this narrative would take. It was critical to us that Bumper in Berlin be instantly identifiable to fans for its irreverent comedy and fantastic music, but also completely unique from anything you’ve seen before.
“We wanted to honour The Barden Bellas and the Pitch Perfect universe while extending into a fresh and brilliantly strange character journey,” she added. “This is a narrative about second chances, friendship, and the idea that your goals can come true in unexpected ways – anywhere in the world, at any age.”
The premiere episode of Bumper in Berlin, as well as a preview of episode 2, will air on NBC on Monday, Nov. 28, at 10 p.m. ET, following The Voice.
