Justin Timberlake Pays Heartfelt Tribute To Stephen ‘Twitch’ Boss: ‘He Always Lit Everything Up’
Justin Timberlake is the latest celebrity to express condolences in the wake of the tragic death of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, former DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, who committed suicide at the age of 40 on Wednesday (Dec. 14).
“It’s heartbreaking to hear that someone who brought so much joy to a room was hurting so much behind closed doors,” the singer of “Can’t Stop the Feeling” tweeted. “I’ve known Twitch for over 20 years through the dance community – he always lit everything up. “You never know what someone is going through.”
He also shared a sweet photo of tWitch Dirty Dancing-style holding up Timberlake’s wife, Jessica Biel, during an Ellen appearance. “Take care of yourselves. I adore the person in the mirror. Check on your employees. In this dark, perplexing time, I’m sending light to his lovely family. Sir, you will be missed. “Relax,” Timberlake said at the end.
Allison Holker Boss, a dancer, was the first to break the news of her husband’s death in a statement to People. “It is with heavy hearts that I inform you that my husband Stephen has left us,” she wrote. “Stephen brightened every room he entered. Above all, he valued family, friends, and community, and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was our family’s rock, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.
On Wednesday, DeGeneres mourned her friend and coworker via Twitter. “I’m heartbroken,” she wrote on Twitter, alongside a photo of herself hugging the dancer and DJ. “tWitch was pure light and love. He was my family, and I loved him with everything I had. I’m going to miss him. Please send Allison and his three beautiful children, Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia, your love and support.”
