Lil Baby Debuts On ‘Saturday Night Live’ With ‘California Breeze’ And ‘Forever’
On January 28, Lil Baby made his debut as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live, where he performed two songs off his It’s Only Me album, which is currently number one on the Billboard 200.
In October 2022, the Atlanta rapper performed two songs in Studio 8H after being introduced by host Michael B. Jordan: “California Breeze” and “Forever,” both of which peaked in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.
In 2019, Baby appeared on SNL as a guest performer for DJ Khaled’s “You Stay” performance.
One of the most successful streaming releases of the year was Baby’s It’s Only Me album, which was released in October and topped the Billboard 200 with all 23 tracks appearing on the Hot 100 singles chart.
The new season of Saturday Night Live premiered last week with musical guest Sam Smith. The show comes to 2023 off a successful 2022, when it won the Emmy for outstanding variety sketch series on NBC. Currently, SNL has won 93 Emmys out of a total of a record 93 nominations.
