McDonald’s Teams Up With Dragon Ball For Epic Collaboration In Taiwan

In a surprising move, McDonald’s has delved into the world of anime collaborations in 2023. The fast-food giant, known for its iconic golden arches, has taken its marketing efforts to the next level by teaming up with anime franchises. Notably, McDonald’s recently featured an advertisement inspired by “The Devil Is A Part Timer” anime series and even ventured into creating its own anime segment in Japan. Now, the restaurant chain in Taiwan has embarked on an exciting partnership with the Z-Fighters from the beloved anime series Dragon Ball.

Exclusive Dragon Ball Trading Cards

As part of this epic campaign, McDonald’s Taiwan is offering fans a unique opportunity to collect Dragon Ball trading cards. These cards prominently feature beloved characters from the Dragon Ball universe, including Son Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Goten, Trunks, Gohan, and many more. What’s even more enticing is that McDonald’s Taiwan locations will have exclusive packaging and meals dedicated to Akira Toriyama’s brainchild.

While the campaign has already kicked off in Taiwan, it is set to run until October 10th. During this time, anime enthusiasts can collect “Dragon Ball Z Character Blind Card Packs,” each containing four distinctive trading cards from the shonen franchise.

McDonald’s describes this collaboration with the Dragon Ball franchise as follows: “Dragon Ball fans must collect these 18 popular character cards, quickly make a wish to the dragon, and collect them all! Presented with the classic characters of Dragon Ball Z, popular characters such as Goku, Dar, etc. are all majestic and handsome! The three series of SSR/SR/R cards also use different materials to increase their eye-catching appearance, including hot stamping, mirror effect, and pearlescent texture.”
