Metallica, Usher, Mariah Carey, And Others To Perform At The 2022 Global Citizen Festival

On September 24th, in both New York City and Accra, Ghana, Metallica will perform at the Global Citizen Festival.

After Eddie Munson and Stranger Things helped propel “Master of Puppets” into the Billboard Hot 100, the metal titans are leading the U.S. leg of their tour alongside the Jonas Brothers, Mneskin, Mariah Carey, Mickey Guyton, and Rosala.

After Eddie Munson and Stranger Things helped propel “Master of Puppets” into the Billboard Hot 100, the metal titans are leading the U.S. leg of their tour alongside the Jonas Brothers, Mneskin, Mariah Carey, Mickey Guyton, and Rosacea.

It is requesting, among other things, $600 million to invest in women and girls’ futures, $10 billion to close the annual climate financing gap, $500 million to help African farmers respond to the global food crisis, and immediate relief from crushing debts to end extreme poverty.

A statement claims that the health crisis is “reversing recent trends of shrinking inequality, resulting in the loss of at least three years of progress” and that it has caused nearly 100 million additional people to fall into extreme poverty. “If we don’t do something right away, things will only get worse.”
In addition, “as many as 323 million people are now facing acute hunger and 1.2 billion people are now living in nations experiencing a perfect storm of food, energy, and financial crises,” and “up to 200 million more people may fall into extreme poverty by November if we do not act now.”

The 2022 Global Citizen Festival will be broadcast and streamed on networks such as ABC, ABC News Live, FX, Hulu, iHeartRadio, TimesLIVE, Twitter, and YouTube.
ABC will air a primetime special titled Global Citizen Festival: Take Action NOW on Sunday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m. ET. In the upcoming weeks, more details about when to tune in will be released.
