Natalia Dyer Remembers Her Debut Film Role In ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie: It Was A Major Event!
Natalia Dyer, best known for her role as Nancy Wheeler in Netflix’s Stranger Things, reflected on her first acting role, which she shared with Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montana: The Movie, on Thursday night.
On Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show, the actress revealed that she was given the opportunity to act as a teenager in Nashville.
Clarissa Granger, the daughter of villainous tabloid reporter Oswald Granger, who spends the film on a mission to discover Hannah Montana’s true identity, is played by her. “They had these two British, like, twin roles that they decided to cast locally,” she explained.
Dyer, then 14, is shown above at the film’s red carpet premiere in 2009.
Meg also inquired of Dyer, a Stranger Things fan, whether he missed Barb, Nancy’s best friend played by Shannon Purser, who was killed by Demogorgons in the first season. It’s time to resurrect Barb, and we need a hashtag for it!
“I’m not supposed to forget about Barb,” Dyer replies. “I understand!” This is important to Nancy’s book’s plot. Without a doubt, this helps her progress. Can we say she’s completely recovered? I’m not sure if we’ve forgotten about Barb.
This year’s massive success of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” can be attributed in part to Dyer’s Stranger Things character. The single from 1985 became a massive radio hit and topped charts all over the world, including the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, the Official U.K. Singles Chart, and many more, after soundtracking a pivotal scene in the fourth season of the supernatural drama.
