NCT DREAM Announces ‘In A DREAM’ Movie Will Be Released In Theaters Worldwide

NCT DREAM celebrated a career milestone with two nights at South Korea’s largest concert venue, and the K-pop boy band is sharing the experience with fans all over the world through their first-ever film.
The new film honours NCT DREAM’s THE DREAM SHOW2: In a DREAM concert in Seoul, as well as multiple cities throughout Japan, following the release of the Glitch Mode album, which debuted at No. 50 on the Billboard 200 in April, becoming the group’s first entry on the chart.
In A DREAM will be released in CGV theatre chains with ScreenX, 4DX, and 4DX Screen formats, which provide viewers with multi-sensory effects. Trafalgar Releasing (who has pushed fan-focused movie experiences for artists like BTS, Coldplay, and Twenty One Pilots) and CJ 4DPLEX Inc. will distribute the film (the tech company behind 4DX, ScreenX and 4DX Screen theaters). ScreenX provides a 270-degree field of view perspective in movie theatres by expanding screens to the side walls, whereas 4DX enhances on-screen visuals with special effects such as vibrations, wind, scents, and more. Trafalgar reports 344 ScreenX auditoriums, including 4DX Screens, in 38 countries around the world.

NCT DREAM’s film debut makes them the latest K-pop act to provide fans with a concert-documentary hybrid film, following in the footsteps of SEVENTEEN, who released Power of Love: The Movie in theatres in April.
