Post Malone Cancels Boston Show At The Last Minute Due To Pain: ‘We’re In The Hospital’
Post Malone cancelled his concert in Boston on Saturday night due to pain that sent him to the hospital.
On Sept. 24, just before a scheduled performance at Boston’s TD Garden, he wrote to fans on his social media accounts, “Boston, I love y’all so f—ing much.” “I usually wake up around 4 p.m. on tour, and today I awoke to a cracking sound on the right side of my body.” I felt so good last night, but today felt completely different. I’m having trouble breathing, and there’s a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move.”
“We’re in the hospital now,” Malone explained, “but with this pain, I can’t do the show tonight.” “I’m terribly sorry. Everyone’s tickets for tonight’s show will be valid for the reschedule that we are currently planning. I’m so f—ing sorry, I love you all so much. I feel terrible, but I promise I’ll make it up to you. I adore you, Boston, and I hope to see you soon. I’m truly sorry.”
The news was also shared on Twitter by TD Garden, which stated that the show was “being postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.”
The concert cancellation comes just a week after he was injured during a show in St. Louis on Sept. 17. Malone fell into an open trap door while performing his Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Circles” on stage.
“Whenever we do the acoustic part of the show, the guitar is on the guitar stand and it comes down,” he explained in a brief video posted on Twitter. “And there’s this big a- hole, so I go around it, turn the corner, and bust my a-.” Winded me up pretty well; got me pretty well.”
He claimed he was taken to the hospital at the time and given a clean bill of health as well as pain medication “so we can keep kicking a- on tour.” Malone didn’t break anything, according to manager Dre London, but he did get bruised ribs.
“F U Hole,” Posty wrote a few days later on Instagram, where he also posted a performance photo of himself giving the stage shaft the middle finger.
