Rapper Da Brat And Wife Jesseca Harris-Dupart Expecting First Child

The rapper, 48, is expecting her first child with wife Jesseca Harris-Dupart, 41, the couple announced in People, sharing multiple photos from their gangster-themed pregnancy photoshoot with her growing baby bump on display.

While Harris-Dupart already has three children, Da Brat told the outlet that she “never thought I was going to have kids.”

“I just assumed it wasn’t in the cards for me. I’ve had a successful career and a full life. “I felt like it was just not going to happen for me because I didn’t get pregnant earlier on,” she explained.

However, Da Brat stated that she “began looking at life so differently” after meeting the CEO of Kaleidoscope Hair Products.

“I was like, I want a little me with you,” she explained. “Something special from both of us that we can share, raise, and love unconditionally.”

The baby news comes after what the rapper described as a “long journey…

A heartbreaking miscarriage was a part of that journey.

“I’d never been so excited about something I didn’t even know I wanted. “I fell in love with the idea, and then it was all taken away from me,” Da Brat explained. “Fortunately, we still had quite a few of her eggs left.”

“It’s just a blessing,” she says now that she’s 18 weeks pregnant. “I’m very excited!”
