Doja Cat’s Controversial Instagram Post
Doja Cat, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, sparked outrage online with a now-deleted Instagram post. The post depicted her wearing a tiara, small hoop earrings, and bedazzled eyebrows, drawing attention to a black t-shirt featuring Sam Hyde holding a firearm.
At the time of writing, the image had garnered over 11 million views across various social media platforms.
Who is Sam Hyde?
Sam Hyde, known as an alt-right comedian, gained notoriety on social media in the mid-2010s for his homophobic and racist stand-up acts. He co-founded the comedy group Million Dollar Extreme with Charles Carroll and Nick Rochefort. Hyde has publicly supported alt-right and neo-Nazi groups, such as donating $5000 to far-right content creator Andrew Anglin in 2017.
Hyde’s actions include intentionally misidentifying himself as the perpetrator in various mass shootings, appearing in a racist New York shooter’s manifesto in May 2022, and associating with neo-Nazis like Bertrand Spencer and Andrew Auernheimer.
In August 2020, Hyde appeared on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ Infowars podcast and was featured in an election broadcast with white nationalist Nick Fuentes. He has also faced allegations of dating a 15-year-old girl named Marky in 2017 and being physically abusive towards her.
