Sam Smith And Kim Petras Extend ‘Unholy’ Chart Reign In The U.K.
“Unholy” (via EMI) by Sam Smith and Kim Petras earns its third week at No. 1 in the United Kingdom.
The song equals Smith’s 2017 single “Too Good At Goodbyes” as their second-longest-running No. 1 hit, with both songs spending three weeks at the top.
None of Smith’s eight UK No. 1s have lasted longer than their “Promises” collaboration with Calvin Harris, which lasted six weeks.
Anne-Marie and Aitch’s “Psycho” (Atlantic) is also on the rise, climbing 12-9 for its first appearance in the top 10. “Psycho” is Aitch’s third appearance in the top 40 of the latest U.K. chart frame, released Friday, Oct. 14, with Ed Sheeran collaboration “My G” (Asylum/Capitol) rising 16-14 and Tion Wayne collaboration “Let’s Go” (Atlantic) debuting at No. 30.
Tom Odell’s 2010 release “Another Love,” up 18-13, is another song that has gone viral on TikTok. This is the song’s highest chart position since July 2013, and it’s getting close to its peak of No. 10. The BRITs Critics’ Choice winner’s debut began trending alongside protest videos, including tributes to the death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian woman, in suspicious circumstances.
A slew of singles rise in the latest survey, including Lizzo’s “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)” (via Atlantic), which is up 20-16; Rema’s “Calm Down” (Mavin), which is up 21-17; Burna Boy and Ed Sheeran’s “For My Hand” (Atlantic), which is up 19-18; Cian Ducrot’s “All For You” (Polydor), which is up 23-19; Venbe
Mimi Webb has the highest new debut on the latest frame, with “Ghost Of You” (Epic) debuting at No. 23. “Ghost Of You,” from Webb’s upcoming debut album Amelia, is her fifth top 40 hit.
Finally, “Miss You” (Atlantic) by Oliver Tree and Robin Schulz makes its top 40 debut, debuting at No. 28. It’s Tree’s highest chart position in the UK and his second top 40 after “Life Goes On,” which peaked at No. 33 last year, and Schulz’ fourth top 40 appearance.
