Saw X Promo: Jigsaw’s Hilarious Nicole Kidman Parody Previews 10th Installment
The highly-anticipated 10th installment of the trap-filled “Saw” series, “Saw X,” is set to hit theaters soon. In its latest promotional stunt, the infamous Jigsaw puppet, along with his loyal companion Billy, takes a humorous jab at Nicole Kidman in a parody of the popular AMC Theaters pre-show reel.
A Hilarious AMC Parody
The parody ad unfolds with Billy riding his iconic tricycle toward Lionsgate, effectively capturing the essence of the “Saw” franchise. It highlights the franchise’s iconic elements: screams, desperate pleas, unanswered cries for mercy, and even gruesome acts of self-amputation. Die-hard “Saw” fans will find numerous Easter eggs, including Billy navigating a corridor filled with the series’ most memorable traps, including the infamous reverse bear trap from the first film. However, even newcomers to the series will appreciate the spot-on parody of Kidman’s AMC ad. Details like Billy’s arrival at Lionsgate with a red hood and comical mishaps, like his tricycle bumping into a theater seat, will leave you in stitches. Horror enthusiasts will relish this reminder of the gory magic of the movies.
What’s “Saw X” About?
While “Spiral” (2021) exceeded expectations, “Saw X” returns the franchise, created by James Wan, to its murderous roots. Tobin Bell reprises his role as John Kramer, alias Jigsaw, for the first time since 2017’s “Jigsaw.” Despite Jigsaw’s long-standing death in the series, this sequel unfolds between the events of “Saw” and “Saw II.” Jigsaw takes center stage, plotting a trap-filled revenge mission in Mexico after discovering the fraudulent nature of an experimental cancer treatment he underwent. This film promises to provide a darker context to Jigsaw’s eventual demise. Shawnee Smith’s Amanda Young also returns for the first time since “Saw: The Final Chapter.”
Release Date
“Saw X” is set to terrify audiences on September 29, 2023. In the meantime, you can enjoy Billy’s new AMC parody ad. Additionally, “Saw” and “Saw II” will return to theaters ahead of the debut of “Saw X.”
