Two days before the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, along with her husband Raj Kundra and their children Viaan and Samisha, welcomed Lord Ganesha into their home. The family’s visit to Lalbaug in central Mumbai was a heartwarming affair as they brought Bappa into their abode.

A Special Festival for Shilpa Shetty

This year’s Ganesh Chaturthi holds extra significance for Shilpa Shetty as it coincides with the release of her latest movie, “Sukhee.” The film, which marks the directorial debut of Sonal Joshi, blends elements of comedy with a narrative that delves into patriarchy and women’s empowerment. “Sukhee” is scheduled for release on Friday, September 22, 2023.

In “Sukhee,” Shilpa portrays the character of a Punjabi housewife who receives an invitation to her school reunion in Delhi, with Kusha Kapila playing her best friend. Interestingly, it was Raj Kundra who convinced Shilpa to take on this project.
