Stray Kids Release New Album ‘MAXIDENT’: Listen Now
STAY! The time has come! Stray Kids have returned with their new album MAXIDENT, which was released on Friday (October 7) by JYP and Republic Records.
The album arrives less than four months after Stray Kids’ Japanese-language EP, Circus, was released on June 22. Stray Kids, comprised of members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N., released a video for each track in a series of three titled 3-1 “3RACHA,” 3-2 “TASTE,” and 3-3 “I Think I Like You” last week.
“Our goal has always been to reach as many’stray kids’ as possible,” Bang Chan previously told Billboard in the group’s recent cover story. “To deliver our music and give strength to people who really need it,” he continued.
“We know we can’t move forward if we settle,” Han added. “That’s why we were and are the way we are.” We try not to stand still and to look ahead.”
MAXIDENT follows the South Korean K-pop group’s already impressive 2022. Oddinary, the band’s most recent EP, was the Stray Kids’ first to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. The EP was also the band’s first appearance on a Billboard chart. According to Luminate, Oddinary sold 110,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending March 24, with 103,000 of the total sales occurring in the United States.
