The Offspring Are Safe After Their Car Caught Fire On The Way To A Show.
The members of The Offspring reassured fans after a fire broke out in one of their vehicles in Canada on the way to a performance.
On Saturday (August 6), the band tweeted about their trip to Rimouski, Quebec, where “something flew off the vehicle in front of us” and became lodged under one of their vehicles. Furthermore, they claimed the incident occurred while they were driving.
The video that accompanied the tweet appeared to show a black car on the side of the road engulfed in thick smoke and flames.
However, according to The Offspring, “luggage, passports, laptops, and pretty much everything else was destroyed.” The band members and crew were said to be unharmed, but they were disappointed with the loss of equipment.
The band insisted that everything was going as planned for their Saturday performance at the Les Grandes Fêtes TELUS festival, which also featured The Chainsmokers and Flo Rida.
The guitarist, Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman, posted photos from the scene of the accident on Instagram. These images show the charred wreckage of the car. Everyone involved was unharmed, according to Noodles’ report. It could have been much worse, but thankfully, no one was injured when they exited the vehicle. My colleagues and I are relieved and grateful to learn that no one was injured.
“Our crew does all the heavy lifting so that when we take the stage, we look and sound as good as possible,” he continued. We frequently feel inadequate when attempting to express our gratitude because of the lengthier and more taxing nature of their commutes and workdays.
The thought of them having to go through such an ordeal fills me with sadness and dread. My heart leaps for joy upon hearing that they are all well and happy.
The Offspring are currently on tour in North America in support of their latest album, “Let The Bad Times Roll.” Following their performance at the Ambleside festival in Vancouver on Saturday (August 13), the punk rock band will travel to Japan to participate in Summer Sonic. They will then tour Australia in December, Europe in May of the following year, and Brazil the following month for the Rock In Rio festival. You can view the full schedule and purchase tickets for specific shows here.

The album, which was released in April 2021, was Offspring‘s first new material in nine years. The album’s title was intended to be taken literally: “Let the bad times roll.”
Lead singer Dexter Holland provided the following interpretation of the song’s title when the album was released in February of last year. “I feel like we’re in a unique period in history where, instead of our world leaders saying, ‘we’re doing our best,’ they’re more like saying, ‘fuck it,'” Holland said.
“People are saying that if everything is going to hell, we might as well make the most of it, or at the very least, go out swinging,” Noodles says. Let the party begin!
