AMSTERDAM – Sept. 27, 2023 – The Pokémon Company International has announced a captivating partnership with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, bringing together the enchanting worlds of Pokémon and the iconic artist Vincent van Gogh. Starting from September 28, 2023, to January 7, 2024, visitors to the Van Gogh Museum will be treated to a unique experience. For example, Pikachu takes center stage in a piece inspired by van Gogh’s ‘Self-portrait with Grey Felt Hat’ (1887), while Pokémon Sunflora makes an appearance in a variant of van Gogh’s famous ‘Sunflowers’ (1889).

Visitors of all ages can participate in the ‘Pokémon Adventure’ activity, which provides leaflets guiding them through the museum. These leaflets shed light on the stories behind van Gogh’s paintings and offer an engaging way to explore the museum.
