‘The Voice’ With Blake Shelton Contestants Compete Against John Legend’s “Preach”

On Monday night (Oct. 24), Blake Shelton’s Voice competitors Hillary Torchiana and Kevin Hawkins competed on fellow coach John Legend’s 2019 smash, “Preach.”

“He’s incredible, but so are you,” Shelton added. “I’m really taken aback by how you stepped up to the plate. You took all of my notes, marched up here, and gave it everything you had, I believe. Kevin, you also provided everything you had for this performance. Even though that was perfect, I don’t believe we’ve seen your full potential. That’s saying a lot because that was clearly a fantastic performance.”

Shelton ultimately chose Hawkins to assist him in reaching his full musical potential.
