Tina Turner’s Heartfelt Message Following the Death Of Her Son Ronnie Turner At The Age Of 62: ‘You Left The World Much Too Soon.’
Tina Turner is bereaved in her family. Ronnie Turner, the singer’s youngest son with late ex-husband Ike Turner, died on Thursday at the age of 62. (Dec. 8).
According to TMZ, police received a call that he was not breathing and later arrived on the scene to perform CPR on him, but were unsuccessful.
Following the news of her son’s death, the veteran singer took to Facebook to share a simple yet heartfelt message honouring her son’s memory, which read, “Ronnie, you left the world far too soon.” In my grief, I close my eyes and remember you, my beloved son.”
Afida Turner, Ronnie’s wife, also expressed her grief on social media, posting a series of photos of him in a carousel with the caption: “MY GOD RONNIE TURNER A TRUE ANGEL HIUGE SOUL HIGHLY SPIRITUAL MY HUSBAND MY BEST FRIEND MY BABY IYOUR MUMMY.” YOUR NURSE, I DID MY BEST TO SAVE YOU FOR THIS 17 YEARS THIS IS VERY VERY VERY BAD I AM VERY MAD THIS IS A TRAGEDY U WITH YOUR BROTHER CRAIG AND FATHER IKE TURNER AND ALINE REST IN PARADISE SO UNFAIR.”
Ronnie, full name Ronnie Rennelle Turner, was Tina Turner’s youngest child with ex-husband and former collaborator Ike Turner. Ronnie was born on October 27, 1960. Born into a musical family, Ronnie inherited his parents’ musical abilities, playing bass in Manufactured Funk with songwriter and musician Patrick Moten, as well as in his parents’ bands. In 2007, he married French singer Afida.
While the cause of Ronnie’s death is unknown at this time, he had a history of health issues throughout the year, including cancer. Craig, Turner’s eldest son, whom Ike adopted after they married, committed suicide in 2018.
