Usher, Quinta Brunson, And Tems Are Among The Honorees At The EBONY Power 100 Gala.
On Wednesday, the list of 100 honorees for EBONY’s Power 100 Gala, a night of Black excellence, was released (Oct. 12). The gala will be hosted by Emmy-nominated comedian Amber Ruffin, and guests will include Emmy winner Quinta Brunson, Usher, and TikTok influencer Khaby Lame.
The annual gala honours Black trailblazers in a variety of professions and crafts, including business, entertainment, science, and technology. The ten categories of the formal event range from Entertainment Powerhouses to Community Creators. Executives shared their reimagined commitment to “Moving Black Forward” in addition to announcing its return.
“The EBONY Power 100 Gala is one of our marquee events,” said Eden Bridgeman Sklenar, CEO of EBONY Media Group, in a statement. “This year’s list represents the best and brightest across fields, and we are proud to celebrate and salute each of our honorees, whom we recognise as influential community members based on their impactful contributions to culture and society at large.”
Tems and H.E.R. joined Usher and Brunson on the list of Entertainment Powerhouses. Lame is joined in the influencer category by makeup mogul and YouTuber Jackie Aina, rapper Saucy Santana, and comedian Elsa Majimbo.
Russell Wilson and Ciara, Idris and Sabrina Elba, and the City Girls are among the couples in this year’s Dynamic Duo category. Ruffin is this year’s Media Mavens honoree in addition to hosting.
The Gala will be held on October 29th at the Milk Studios in Los Angeles, and will be presented by Coke Zero Sugar.
