What Is Your Favorite Hip-Hop Song Of 2022, From GloRilla To Latto? Vote!
Hip-hop has had a banner year, and Billboard recently compiled our critics’ picks for the genre’s 15 best tracks of 2022. But now that we’ve exhausted our favourites, we’d like to know which hip-hop song you enjoyed the most.
Newcomers like GloRilla and Ice Spice have exploded onto the scene, and rising stars like Latto have finally broken through, while hitmakers like Kendrick Lamar, DJ Khaled, Cardi B, and others have continued to successfully crank out smash singles and fan-favorite album cuts.
In fact, GloRilla has two songs in Billboard’s top ten this year: “F.N.F. (LET’S GO),” her debut release, at No. 1, and its Cardi B-assisted follow-up “Tomorrow 2,” at No. 6. Another artist who had multiple hits this year was Kendrick Lamar, who released “N95” and “Rich Spirit” from his fifth studio album, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.
While both have been indicted in YSL’s sprawling RICO case, Gunna and Young Thug collaborated with Future on “Pushin P,” which became the highest-charting single from the former’s third studio album, DS4Ever.
Meanwhile, DJ Khaled enlisted an entire entourage of A-listers for “God Did,” the title track off his stacked thirteenth studio album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 when it was released in July.
Other songs on our list include Latto’s Tom Tom Club-interpolating “Big Energy,” Vince Staples’ “When Sparks Fly,” and “Hotel Lobby,” a grimy single released just one month before Takeoff’s tragic murder.
