Zachery Ty Bryan Arrested For Domestic Violence For The Second Time

Zachery Ty Bryan, best known for his role as eldest son Brad Taylor on Tim Allen’s ‘Home Improvement,’ has been arrested again for domestic violence, according to reports.

Arrested under Felony Assault Charges

TMZ reported that Bryan was arrested in Eugene, OR, on Friday by the police for felony assault, violating the Abuse Prevention Act. The Act is invoked when someone is accused of attacking a person who had previously been granted a restraining order in relation to domestic violence.

Past Conviction and Sentence

This is not the first time Bryan has faced domestic violence charges. In 2021, he pleaded guilty to two felony counts in a domestic violence case in Oregon. He received a sentence of three years probation and was required to participate in a batterer-intervention program.

Previous Incident Details

The charges from 2021 stemmed from an incident in Eugene, where the then-39-year-old actor assaulted his 27-year-old girlfriend. The charges included harassment, coercion, strangulation, interference with making a report, and second counts of menacing and assault in the fourth degree. These charges were later dismissed in return for his guilty plea.

Recent Arrest Details

According to an anonymous police source, a call was received for a reported physical dispute between a male and a female at a residence in Eugene. Zachery Ty Bryan was not present at the scene when the police arrived, but he was eventually located and taken into custody.

It’s unclear if the same person involved in the 2021 domestic violence incident was also involved this time. Bryan was engaged to the woman involved in the 2021 incident.
