Janet Jackson Posts Rare Photo Of Her ‘Beautiful Niece’ Jackson, Paris

Though Janet Jackson prefers to keep family matters private, she posted a sweet interaction she had with her niece Paris Jackson on social media on Friday (Oct. 7).

“Such a pleasure catching up with my beautiful niece @ParisJackson,” the star wrote, adding three sparkling heart emojis to her photo caption. Paris reciprocated her aunt’s feelings by posting a black heart emoji in the comments section.

The aunt and niece are experiencing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Paris has stated that she tries to keep family matters private after receiving criticism for failing to attend the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, where Janet was honoured with the Billboard Icon Award for her contributions to pop music. Paris’ brother Prince was present.

“Dear social media followers, friends, stalkers, lovers and haters, and fellow moonwalkers: Please do not tell me/demand/try to control how I handle my relationships with the people in my life, particularly my family,” Paris wrote on Instagram at the time. “As incredible and s—-y as things can be, it is none of our business but ours.” I understand that some of you feel a connection or a need to be a part of our lives because you have watched us grow up. However, I am handling my situation in the same manner as my father. And I’m content to keep it that way. My family will always have my love and respect. ALWAYS.”
