Brandi Carlile And The Yeah Yeah Yeah Have Been Announced As Musical Guests For ‘Saturday Night Live.’
Saturday Night Live’s December shows are in full swing, and the iconic comedy series announced its official lineup of hosts and performers for the next three episodes on Tuesday.
As previously announced, the December schedule will begin on December 3 with SZA as musical guest and Keke Palmer as host. “I can’t believe it’s happening lmao. I intend to act like a f—ing fool. “See you soon, New York,” SZA wrote on her Instagram account after the announcement on Nov. 13.
The following week, on December 10, Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short will co-host, with Brandi Carlile serving as musical guest. This will be her second appearance on the SNL stage, but she is coming off seven Grammy nominations for her latest album, In These Silent Days.
“This is the best @nbcsnl of the year!” I’d fly to New York City just to be in the audience for this. “But instead, I get to sing my songs on my favourite show,” Carlile said of her upcoming appearance with the two comedy legends.
To close out 2022, Elvis star Austin Butler will make his Saturday Night Live debut as host on December 17, with Yeah Yeah Yeahs performing. Following the release of their new album Cool It Down, the band has been nominated for two Grammys.
Saturday Night Live airs live on NBC every Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT. For those without cable, the broadcast will also be available on Peacock, which you can sign up for here. A Peacock account also grants fans access to previous SNL episodes.
