Britney Spears says She’s ‘Not Sorry’ For Her Social Media Posts In Response To Her Son Jayden’s Comments About Their Relationship.
Britney Spears says she has no regrets about her social media presence.
On Friday night (Sept. 2), the pop star took to Instagram to clarify that she’s “not sorry” for her online posts, which frequently include censored nude images and videos of herself. The singer’s remarks follow an interview with her 15-year-old son Jayden in the Daily Mail about their strained relationship. Parts of the interview will air in an ITV News documentary, which premiered on Friday.
“I 100% believe this can be repaired,” Jayden says of his relationship with his mother, adding that there is “no hatred” in their family. “It’ll just take a lot of time and effort.” I simply want her to improve mentally. “I really want to see her again when she gets better.” The teen also sent Brit a personal message: “I adore you and wish you all the best.” Maybe one day we’ll be able to sit down and talk like this again.”
Spears’ new Instagram post, which includes a video montage of her living room dance routines, begins with the singer expressing her excitement about her recent “Hold Me Closer” collaboration with Elton John. She then jokes that her musically gifted son could give John a “run for his money” on the piano. Spears shared a video of her “lil Mozart” son’s impressive piano skills in 2018, though it was unclear whether the clip was of Preston (now 16) or Jayden.
Spears then discusses her social media activity. Kevin Federline, the pop star’s ex-husband, told the Daily Mail in early August that the former couple’s sons had been avoiding their mother in recent months, and that they were having difficulty dealing with her nude images on social media following the end of her 13-year conservatorship.
“In any case, I’m so sorry children, I’m still on social media,” Spears continues in her IG post. “I’m sorry you think I do it for the attention… I’m sorry for how you feel… However, guess what??? I have some exciting news for you… I, too, am a child of God, as we all are in God’s eyes… as a result, NOPE I apologise… I’ve learned to exclaim “SO!!!”
After deleting her Instagram account last week, the singer returned on Thursday (Sept. 1) with a pointed response to comments about her parenting made by her son, Jayden.
