In A Hilarious DM Game Show Sketch, ‘SNL’ Pokes Fun At Adam Levine’s Alleged Cheating Scandal.
During the show’s 48th season premiere on October 1, Adam Levine’s alleged cheating scandal was hilariously addressed.
In “Send Something Normal,” a nearly six-minute game show sketch, four male celebrity contestants — Levine (played by Mikey Day), actor Armie Hammer (James Austin Johnson), astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson (Kenan Thompson), and SNL cast member Bowen Yang (himself) — are challenged with replying to “a woman’s DM on Instagram in a way that is normal.” This proves to be a difficult task for all of the men.
Miles Teller, who plays game show host Halen Hardy on SNL for the first time, begins by showing the Maroon 5 frontman a fictional DM from a woman named Elizabeth Marie 1992. “Hello, Adam. I’m a huge fan. “I really enjoy your music!” she writes. Before responding, Day’s Levine requests to see the woman’s most popular vacation photos, one of which is of her in a bikini. “Hoooly Moly!” says the musician, licking his lips and rubbing his hands. “Your body is making my penis smile!” he says as he digs himself deeper.
The SNL skit comes in the wake of recent allegations that Levine had an affair with Instagram model Sumner Stroh, 23, despite his marriage to Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo, with whom he has two daughters and is expecting a third. Levine later denied having an affair, but admitted in a statement that he “used poor judgement in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner.”
Later in the sketch, Yang, who attributes his success on the game show to “being gay,” faces his own challenge when responding to a friendly DM from Dua Lipa. “Oh no!” “Hooooly mooly!” Yang exclaims before responding. Oh my goodness! “Your music brings a smile to my penis!”
