Joe Jonas And Sophie Turner Rave About ‘1989’ By Taylor Swift: “One Of My All-Time Favorite Albums”

Both the Recording Academy and critics have praised 1989, and now Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have joined the chorus. The couple did a TikTok livestream recently in which they both praised Taylor Swift’s massively successful 2014 album. The Game of Thrones star even stated that it was one of her favourite albums of all time.

During the live broadcast, Jonas and Turner, who recently welcomed their second child, answered questions from viewers in the comments section. When asked which of Taylor Swift’s albums the couple preferred, the Dark Phoenix star, 26, said, “1989, hands down.” First-rate; excellent quality.”

Swift’s 1989, which won Album of the Year at the 2016 Grammys, topped the charts for an unprecedented 11 weeks, a feat only equaled by her sophomore album Fearless. Swift, who was 32 at the time, received three consecutive Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles with “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” and “Bad Blood.” During her livestream with Jonas, Turner also mentioned Reputation from 2017.
Despite the fact that 1989 is her favourite year, Turner felt compelled to mention how the characters she and Maisie Williams played in Game of Thrones influenced the sequel. “Did you know that Sansa and Arya Stark inspired or were partially inspired by Reputation?” she asked Jonas.

True, Swift revealed to Entertainment Weekly in 2019 that many of the songs on her edgy sixth studio album were inspired by the violent eight-season fantasy series. “All Too Well” singer admitted that the Stark sisters influenced songs like “Look What You Made Me Do” and “I Did Something Bad.”
