Lightning In A Bottle Announces 20th Anniversary Festival Lineup: See Who’s Playing

Lightning In a Bottle has been delighting festivalgoers from the West Coast and beyond with deliciously quirky, sorta heady, and always hyphy fun for over two decades.
Today (Jan. 17), the beloved California festival unveiled the lineup for its 20th anniversary show, which will take place May 24-29 in Bakersfield, CA.
REZZ, SOFI TUKKER, and Zhu will headline LiB’s Lightning stage, with Phantogram, Tobe Nwigwe, 070 Shake, Caribou, DRAMA, and many more.
The Thunder stage will feature Liquid Stranger, LSDream, Tokimonsta, and The Glitch Mob, as well as LTJ Bukem alongside Armanna, Meute, Deathpact, and more.
Tale Of Us, Diplo, Ben Böhmer, Purple Disco Machine, LP Giobbi, Blond:ish, and a slew of other musicians will perform on the house and techno-focused Woogie Stage. David Starfire, Dimond Saints, William Close & The Earth Harp, and El Papachango are among the long-running LiB performers who will return in 2023. The full lineup is shown below.
Along with music, the five-day camping festival will feature a variety of fun activities such as interactive yoga and dance classes, presentations and seminars, games, races, an 80s prom, and other special events. Tickets for the festival are currently on sale.
Event producers The Do Lab will return to Coachella to present their yearly stage ahead of LiB. The roster for this stage, which is known for giving Coachella a carefree, playful, and musically flawless mood, will be announced in the coming months.
“What I do know is that music is a safe zone, a place of comfort, a place of joy, a place of release for most people,” Do Lab Assistant Music Director Tadia Taylor told Billboard in 2022 about creating the lineups for LiB and Coachella. “I could never think of anything more than being able to expand all of those emotions, expand the palette, expand the people, and share it all.”
