Madonna’s Celebration Tour Now Has 13 More Dates

Madonna is booked and really busy. Due to popular demand, the pop artist added 13 dates to the North American leg of The Celebration Tour on Thursday (Jan. 19).

The original 35-city tour has been expanded to include second gigs in Seattle, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Miami, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, as well as a third event at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The North American portion of the tour will begin on Saturday, July 15, at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver and will include stops in Phoenix, Detroit, Atlanta, Toronto, Montreal, and other cities before closing on Oct. 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The European part of the tour will begin with a pair of shows at The O2 arena on October 14-15, and will include stops in Paris, Barcelona, Milan, Berlin, and other cities before closing on December 1 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. Bob the Drag Queen, as previously stated, will be a special guest on the tour.

The new concert dates will go on sale on Friday, January 20, at 10 a.m. local time. Phoenix, Denver, St. Paul, Cleveland, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Washington, and Atlanta tickets will go on sale Friday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. local time, with Citi cards receiving priority access beginning Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 10 a.m. local time and ending Thursday, Jan. 26, at 6 p.m. local time.

Madonna recently spoke with Vanity Fair on her creative process, her comeback to the stage, and her upcoming biography. “I’m going to start another show, and I’ve been working on a screenplay about my life for several years,” the singer told the magazine. “I’m having a terrific time right now – I’m gathering ideas, getting inspired, hanging out with creative people, watching movies, viewing art, and listening to music.”
