‘Midnights’ By Taylor Swift Is Now Available: Stream It Right Now
Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated 10th studio album, Midnights, was released on Friday at the stroke of midnight (obviously) (Oct. 21).
Swift describes the album’s 13 tracks as “stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life.”
“We lie awake in love and fear, in turmoil and tears,” she later wrote about the record in two paragraphs that were displayed across a promotional photo posted to social media. “We stare at the walls and drink until they respond.” We twist in our self-made cages, praying that we aren’t about to make some fateful life-altering mistake right now.”
“This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night,” she continued, “a journey through terrors and sweet dreams.” “The demons we face and the floors we pace.” For all of us who have tossed and turned, deciding to keep the lanterns lit and go searching, hoping that when the clock strikes twelve… we’ll find ourselves.”
Swift’s sister albums Folklore and Evermore, which were released in July and December 2020, respectively, precede Midnights.
