RM Delivers Intimate Set Of ‘Indigo’ Songs For ‘Live In Seoul’ Concert
BANGTANTV has the next best thing for all BTS ARMY members who are unable to fly to Seoul to see RM’s intimate concert. BTS’ YouTube channel uploaded the full set of the rapper’s recent concert at Seoul’s Rolling Hall on Thursday (Dec. 15), which included a slew of tracks from his recently released solo LP, Indigo.
The video begins with classy, film-style footage of fans waiting in line for admission to the show and posters that read “Indigo is the wARMYest blue” scattered around the area near the queue. Fans who were fortunate enough to attend the show clutch their invitations to their chests as the concert footage begins to roll.
RM opened the show with “Yun,” a song featuring Erykah Badu. Although Badu was not present, the BTS rapper easily commanded the stage and had the audience bopping their heads to the song’s chill hip-hop beat.
RM included the rest of Indigo’s tracks, including “Still Life,” “All Day,” and “Lonely,” as well as special guests Paul Blanco for “Closer,” Kim Sawol for “Forg tful,” Colde for “Hectic,” and youjeen for the album’s lead single “Wild Flower.” Closing out the set were two major surprises: his verse on Balming Tiger’s “SEXY NUKIM,” followed by “Intro: Persona” from BTS’ Map of the Soul: Persona.
RM’s performance at Rolling Hall is the most recent of his Indigo shows. The BTS rapper also performed tracks from his solo album for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series and in a separate concert at New York City’s Dia Beacon.
“It’s been 15 years [since we started pursuing music], and yet in a sense, this is my first album,” RM said on BTS’ sit-down talk show Suchwita, Suga. So, after 15 years, I finally have a chance to prove myself with a solo album. That’s exactly how I felt.”
RM also stated that he was excited to have the opportunity to make a statement about who he is as an artist on Indigo because “to be honest, in my Mono album, I had doubts and concerns for about half of the songs in there,” but he does not believe that will be the case for this album.
