SF9 Will Release ‘THE PIECE OF9’ In January
SF9, a K-pop boyband, has announced plans to release a new mini-album in January.
On their social media accounts, an intriguing poster announced their upcoming return with ‘THE PIECE OF9’ next month. SF9’s 12th mini-album, led by the single ‘Puzzle,’ will be released on January 9 at 6PM KST. Details, such as the track list, are expected in the coming weeks.
The new album will be SF9’s first since July 2022’s ‘THE WAVE OF9,’ which they promoted as a six-member act. Members Inseong and Youngbin began their mandatory military service terms in March and are no longer active, while Rowoon was unable to participate due to scheduling conflicts with a K-drama he was filming at the time.
The idol-actor will re-join the group for the upcoming release, according to Newsen. SF9 members taking part in ‘THE PIECE OF9’ include Jaeyoon, Dawon, Rowoon, Zuho, Taeyang, Hwiyoung, and Chani.
SF9 completed their ‘Live Fantasy #4 Delight’ tour in Seoul and North America earlier this month. The tour began with a three-night residency in Seoul in November, followed by stops in New York, Chicago, Dallas, and Denver in the following weeks before wrapping up in Los Angeles on December 10.
In other K-pop news, BTS has announced the release of their concert film BTS: Yet To Come in Cinemas of their massive sold-out concert in Busan last October, which will be shown in movie theatres worldwide beginning in February 2023. NME’s Rhian Daly wrote in a five-star review of the show, “BTS are artists who always give their all, but tonight it feels like they dig harder and deeper than ever.”
