In a harmonious celebration of music and community, SingPositive announces the eagerly awaited launch of its 2023-2024 outdoor season. With roots deeply embedded in Jamaica Plain, this intergenerational community choir continues to inspire singers of all ages to come together and create musical magic.
An Intergenerational Melody
Led by the talented duo of Lexi Ugelow and Lysander Jaffe, SingPositive brings together individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages to form a melodious community. Founded by Joel Sindelar in 2012, this vibrant choir has blossomed into a thriving artistic haven where music knows no boundaries.
A Musical Tapestry
At SingPositive, music transcends genres and styles. From folk and world music to captivating musical theatre and soulful R&B, the choir’s repertoire is a patchwork of musical creativity. Offering an inclusive environment, SingPositive caters to the whole family with offerings like the Kids Choir, ukulele classes, and supervised playground sessions for the little ones while the Adult Choir rehearses. Children under 3 join in for free, ensuring a truly intergenerational experience.

Where and When?
Rehearsals take place at Spontaneous Celebrations every Sunday afternoon from 4-6 pm. The fall semester, running from September 10 to December 17, culminates in a splendid concert on December 17.
