Taylor Swift’s Friend Todrick Hall Shares Sweet Story About Singer’s Kind Gesture To Fan With Cancer
Just in time for the holidays, Todrick Hall is sharing a heartwarming story about his good friend Taylor Swift.
Swift’s kindness toward a cancer-stricken superfan was recognised by the singer and actor on Monday.
“I don’t feel like these stories get shared enough,” Hall says at the start of his Instagram video. “With the holidays approaching, I thought this story might warm your heart.”
The 37-year-old artist explains in the minute-long video that he received a message in early December from his good friend Holly, who mentioned that her friend Estelle — a “gigantic Taylor Swift fan” — had recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in the eye, brain, and spine. Holly went on to say that Estelle had a Swift-themed bridal shower and that her friend’s dream was to receive a personal message from the “Anti-Hero” singer.
“When I saw the video of this incredible bridal shower, I thought, ‘OK, Taylor needs to see this,'” Hall continues. “So I sent the videos, the footage and the message to Taylor and [she] responded so sweetly and said, ‘I would love to send her something. ‘Can you give me her address?'”
Swift kept her promise, according to Hall, and sent Estelle a large box full of merchandise, including colourful Midnights-branded T-shirts and hoodies.
“I know she has an ear to ear smile,” Hall says. “She’s been direct messaging me all day. I just wanted you to know that I have a lot of stories like this that I could tell you, but this one in particular warmed my heart. I hope it touched your heart and brought a smile to your face.”
Billboard has reached out to Swift’s representatives for more information on Hall’s heartfelt post.
