Two People Were Shot And Others Were Injured At An Asian Doll Concert At A North Carolina College.
Officials said two people were shot and others were injured while fleeing gunfire at a North Carolina college homecoming concert featuring rapper Asian Doll (also known as Asian Da Brat) on Saturday night (Oct. 15).
A male victim with a gunshot wound was flown to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, where he was in stable condition, and a female victim with a graze wound was treated at a local hospital and released, according to a text message from city spokesperson Linda McElroy on Sunday afternoon. She couldn’t say whether the victims were adults or children.
McElroy stated that no arrests had been made.
Livingstone is a private historically Black school in Salisbury, North Carolina, about 35 miles (56 kilometres) northeast of Charlotte.
According to Livingstone President Dr. Anthony J. Davis, the school’s priority is to ensure students’ mental health and to evaluate public safety measures in order to create a safe environment. He stated that the college is assisting police with their investigation.
