Watch The Boyz Release Another Summer K-Pop Hit With ‘Whisper’:
The Boyz have risen to prominence after nearly five years as a group due to their many talented individual members and their ability to create striking visuals; their new summer single “Whisper” is a prime example of what they do best.
Because of the song’s abundance of harmonized choruses, The Boyz’s new upbeat pop single “Whisper” features a unified vocal attack from all ten members. The new song has a slightly more mature edge, especially in moments like Sunwoo and Juhaknyeon’s intense whisper-raps on the second verse, and fits in well with the group’s previous bubblegum summer singles, such as “D.D.D.” in 2019 and “Thrill Ride” last year, both of which were released in August.
Similarly, the music video ends on a cryptic note, with the final scene cutting to a set devoid of vibrant color and captivating whistling in the background. Possible foreshadowing of a future (whistle-hook-laden) song.

The single “Whistle” appears on The Boyz’s new Be Aware EP. In addition to the new single, the band has released a music video for “Timeless.” The song featured in the video is titled “Only for The B,” a reference to the group’s fandom name, and the visual depicts the boys taking a coastal vacation and making memories on a sailboat, around a campfire, and with polaroid cameras.
The Boyz’s single “Maverick” debuted on the World Digital Song Sales chart in November of last year. Following a successful U.S. tour and a performance at the KCON festival in Los Angeles this weekend, “Whisper” appears to be the group’s next big hit.
