Kanye West’s Lawyer Resigned Amid His Divorce From Kim Kardashian.

According to reports, Kim Kardashian’s attorney stated that Kardashian and West are “getting along” and “communicating,” but that West is taking his time finalizing their divorce.

Kanye West has used five different attorneys since his divorce from Kim Kardashian began. His current lawyer is the fifth person to leave the case. A trial date has been set in the meantime.

Samantha Spector, West’s attorney, was formally fired during a trial-setting conference in Los Angeles on Friday, according to Rolling Stone (August 5). Kim Kardashian represented the rapper at a hearing in March when he was officially declared single, but in May, she asked to be removed from the case, reportedly due to communication issues with West. In March, a hearing was held.

Despite the fact that West and Kim Kardashian have not resolved their differences regarding their joint wealth and their four children, Kim Kardashian’s attorney Laura Wasser believes this will change soon. On Friday, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Steve Cochran heard Wasser say, “We’ve been ready for quite a while.” Actually, I’ve already drafted a stipulated judgment. I need someone to listen to me out.

“The parties are getting along, and they are communicating,” Wasser said of West and Kim Kardashian’s friendly relationship. “However, where we are right now, from [Kardashian’s] perspective, we would like to get Mr. West’s declaration of disclosure and close the case.” Unlike West, who has yet to submit his financial disclosures, Kim Kardashian reportedly filed hers in November of last year.

Judge Cochran ruled that the trial would begin on December 14 and last two days. Despite his request that Wasser “invite” West to testify by the end of the following month, the trial is still expected to proceed with or without his participation. According to reports, Mr. Cochran told the court, “We’d like the parties to try to settle the case and, if possible, arrive at a stipulated judgment, and then be ready to have a trial on unresolved matters.”
